Children can enjoy a freshly prepared school lunch each day with meals served in our school hall between 12:00pm and 12:50pm. Lunchtimes are staggered across the school to ensure that children have plenty of time to eat and enjoy their break.

Our school meals are provided by Kingsmead Academy, with a varied menu offering children a choice of meals throughout the week.

Special Dietary Requirements

Gluten-free and dairy-free options are available. If your child has an allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement, please inform the school office so that appropriate arrangements can be discussed.

Free School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free school meal through Universal Infant Free School Meals.

Children in Years 3–6 may also be eligible for free school meals depending on their family's circumstances. We encourage families who think they may be eligible to apply, as registering for free school meals can also provide additional funding to support your child and the school.

Key Stage 2 School Meals

For children in Years 3–6 who are not eligible for free school meals, school lunches can be purchased at the current meal price.

Cancelling a School Meal 

If a meal has been ordered, but your child will not be attending school that day, please contact the school kitchen before 9:30am so that the meal can be cancelled and credited.

Packed Lunches

Children are also welcome to bring in a packed lunch from home. Packed lunches should be brought in a clearly named lunch box or bag and should provide a balanced meal to help children stay energised throughout the school day. 

Please do not include nuts or products containing nuts in packed lunches, in line with our approach to managing allergies in school.
