Wiveliscombe Primary School, near Taunton, is seeking a Year 1 teacher to join our wonderful school community in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a talented and successful school.

Responsibilities include:
- To maintain the positive ethos and promote the values of the school
- To plan and deliver effective lessons which deliver good progress and achievement for all pupils
- To be responsible for the pastoral wellbeing of pupils
- To build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and governors which support the work of the school
- To play a significant role in the life of the school and contribute to whole school development
- To provide a model of good practice for aspects of teaching and learning
- To contribute to raising achievement beyond your own class

Bank Nursery Practitioner
Position: Bank Nursery Practitioner
Hourly Rate: £12.85
Hours: As needed
Closing Date: Monday 27th April 2026
Interview Date: TBC
We require a member of staff to work within our enthusiastic nursery team at Paddocks Nursery and Pre-School which is part of Wiveliscombe Primary School. The Paddocks Nursery provides childcare for ages 0-5 years.
The successful candidate will be:
- Flexible between Monday to Friday and the hours of 8am-6pm.
- An excellent member of our team, following instructions and carrying out duties to the highest level possible.
- Able to communicate effectively with children and their families both verbally and in writing in order to understand the children’s individual characteristics, needs and interests, including family background, cultural beliefs and any special educational needs.
Qualifications: Level 3 childcare qualification is preferred, but unqualified applications will be considered.
