At Wiveliscombe Primary School, we provide opportunities for children to develop their knowledge and understanding of a modern foreign language. Through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities, children build their confidence in communicating in another language and develop an appreciation of different cultures. Learning is carefully sequenced so that children can build on their prior knowledge, broaden their vocabulary and apply their language skills in a range of contexts. We aim for all children to become enthusiastic and confident language learners.
