At Wiveliscombe Primary School, Design and Technology provides children with opportunities to investigate, design, make and evaluate functional and appealing products. Through practical projects, they develop their understanding of materials, tools, techniques and processes, learning to select and use resources safely and effectively. Throughout their learning journey, children build their skills in designing, making and evaluating while developing creativity, problem-solving, technical knowledge and a good understanding of the design process. We encourage children to become resourceful and reflective designers and makers who understand how Design and Technology can meet people's needs and contribute to improving the world around them.
