Careers' Week 2026

This year for Careers Week, we explored the big question:

How do different jobs help people and the planet?

Throughout the week, the children discovered that every career exists because it helps solve a problem. Whether designing sustainable towns, meeting visitors from a wide range of professions, exploring different industries or taking part in exciting careers workshops, they were encouraged to think like real professionals and ask one key question:

"What problem is this person solving?"

We were hugely impressed by how well the children worked collaboratively, developed their creativity and communication skills and discovered how people with different talents work together to make a positive different in their communities and beyond.

Thank you to all of our visitors and families who supported the week by sharing their time, experiences and entries to our Family Future Challenge. We hope you enjoyed visiting our Careers Fair and seeing the fantastic ideas, designs, presentations and projects the children created.

We are incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, teamwork and problem-solving skills the children demonstrated throughout the week. Perhaps we have inspired some of the future innovators, engineers, teachers, healthcare professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders of tomorrow!

We are delighted that Paddocks Nursery School is a part of Wiveliscombe Primary School
